DONALD EVERETT SCHMECHEL. Born November 7, 1947 in Rockport, Massachusetts, son of Donald Arthur Schmechel (Class of ’40) and Frances Wilkinson Schmechel. Attended Lakeside School, Seattle, Washington; and University of Grenoble, Nov., 1964 to June, 1965. Entered Yale Sept., 1965. Chemistry major; Louis Freedman Fellowship in Biochemistry, 1968; Dean’s List, 1965-66, 1966-67 (spring term); Ranking Scholar, 1965-66, 1966-67 (spring term).
