How I Got Into Yale?
In the summer of 1957, I attended Camp Dudley, on the New York side of Lake Champlain. Sorting through some memorabilia in connection with a recent move, I ran across the camp’s end-of-summer publication. This picture of campers in Poly Lodge gave me a smile.
Then while skimming the names of the campers from the cabin next door, Cutler Lodge, I was surprised to recognize the name of their counselor, who had graduated from Yale just before the summer began.
Could it have been a factor in my admission? 😉
It’s a small world sometimes.
(Or is it just a big club?)
Are there any other Dudley campers in our Class? Were you?
Hi David – I was right next door to you in 1957 – also a Camp Dudley Cub, in Adirondack Cabin, with Don Stevenson as our cabin Leader. Phil Laughlin, 9158
