John C. S. Hutchinson, age 66, of Stratford, beloved husband of Pamela Kundrat Hutchinson, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2013 in Bishop Wicke Health Care Center in Shelton. Born on August 19, 1947 in Isle of Wight, England, he was the son of the late A. Spencer & Mary Pauline (Dearnley) Hutchinson.

Mr. Hutchinson was a U.S. Navy veteran during the Vietnam Era. Before his retirement, he was a staff accountant with the Greater Bridgeport Transit Authority for over 30 years. He was active in the Nutmeg Stamp Club, the Stratford Historical Society and the Connecticut Postcard Club. He also served on the board of the Stratford Library Association and C.A.R.E (Citizens Addressing Racial Equity) Action Team.

In addition to Pamela, his wife of 35 years, survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Hutchinson of Portland, OR, a brother, James Andrew Hutchinson of Springfield, VA, nieces and nephews, Laurie & Charlie Hutchinson and Mark & Michael Kundrat. He also leaves behind several cousins in Great Britain and his very close friends Bob and Fran Randolph of Gaithersburg, MD.

A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
