Yale had an enormous impact on my life. I did not realize the extent of the changes taking place during our time there until reading The Guardians by Geoffrey Kabaservice and Joining the Club by Daniel Oren. These two books helped put my place and time at Yale in perspective.
My life after Yale has been centered on my family, my work and my friends. The long trudges up Science Hill to hear lectures by professors Galston, Trinkaus, English and Adair paved the way for medical school and my years as a primary care physician. My friendships with Tom Finarelli, Jamie Woolery, Karl Ameriks and the late Rich Goldman, forged at Yale, continue to sustain me and enrich my life. I have had the overwhelming good fortune to have a loving wife, Connie, and together we raised three children and I now spend considerable time visiting with and caring for grandchildren.
