Medved Launches New Podcast
Michael Medved, our very own College Bowl champ and now a conservative Seattle talk show host, has launched a new podcast series, Great Minds with Michael Medved.
Launched in January, the series has already produced two episodes in what is presented as Season 1: God of Hollywood with guest Randall Wallace and Darwin to Hitler with Richard Weikart.
Michael is a nationally syndicated radio host, best-selling author, and veteran film critic. His daily three-hour broadcast reaches more than 4 million listeners on more than 200 stations across the country – drawing an audience that consistently ranks his show as one of the top ten political talk shows in the United States.
Announcing the new podcast, Michael explains that it’s intended as a complement to “the news of the day and the issues of the moment — issues that go forward with great passion and fierce debate.” He notes that many of those issues “age very quickly. This new series will look at things that don’t change — the never ending questions, the eternal questions.”
The series is sponsored by Discovery Institute, where Michael is a Senior Fellow. The Discovery Institute’s Center for Science and Culture mission is to “advance the understanding that human beings and nature are the result of intelligent design rather than a blind and undirected process. We seek long-term scientific and cultural change through cutting-edge scientific research and scholarship; education and training of young leaders; communication to the general public; and advocacy of academic freedom and free speech for scientists, teachers, and students.”
Michael is known as a conservative who opposed President Trump, but gives credit where credit is due, as in this USA Today Opinion piece.
