Class Notes from 1969 to 1995 Published Today

The Class Notes from 1995 to the present have been digitized and published in the electronic version of the Yale Alumni Magazine (YAM).

In 2018, Wayne and I arranged to have each of the post-1995 Class Notes columns re-published here, on the date it was published in YAM.

One reason for publishing the Class Notes here is so that the “search” function in the masthead above will fetch results from post-1995 Class Notes, along with results from profiles and other articles.

Sadly, however, the Class Notes published prior to 1995 were never digitized by YAM.  We wanted them available to you, so I drove down to the Reference Library at Sterling with my scanner and physically scanned back issues of YAM, from 1969 to 1995.

I then ran those scans through an optical character recognition (OCR) program to convert the images to searchable text.  And then I converted all those pages to one, very large PDF file.

Today, I’m publishing that large (453 page, 245 megabit) document on a separate page, so that the site-search engine can scan the contents and take you to the relevant entry.  If you want, search for your name and see all instances of Class Notes where you may have been mentioned.  You may be surprised!
