The Case For Thursday
This will be very short and to-the-point:
- You should travel on Thursday morning and Sunday afternoon … so you can be fully relaxed for the events that run from 2:30 PM on Thursday to 11:30 AM on Sunday.
If you need to schedule (or reschedule) flights, you still can get 14-day advance pricing, too. - The Thursday afternoon events are spectacular:
- Tom Guterbock and Mike Baum analyzed the data we created with the Class Survey and teased out some really interesting insights. Using cross-tabs and more advanced methods from his Center for Survey Research at U.VA, Tom has prepared an interactive presentation that will delight as well as inform.
- Richard Tedlow – who won teaching awards at Harvard Business school where he was a tenured marketing professor (and who now is at Apple University teaching Advanced Management) – will address one of the Tall Questions we face these days, “What Did It All Mean?”
- During that same hour, our Class Historian, Reed Hundt, will update the class history … from the 25th reunion in 1994 to the present. I’ve seen more details about both of these programs; you won’t want to miss them!
- Thursday cocktails and dinner are gonna be more casual than either Friday, which is the big Class Dinner event on the Old Campus, or Saturday, which will include a band and dancing. So, come early. Drop your bags. Attend the class events on Thursday (or golf on Thursday morning). And RELAX into the weekend!
Logistics
If you haven’t yet registered, do so now!
If you registered for Friday or Saturday, but now want to come Thursday, simply email reunions@yale.edu, identify yourself and tell them what you want (especially re: on-campus housing in Davenport, if you want that.)
See you Thursday!
