Tony was born in Nantucket, but grew up in North Carolina, where he was a good student and a prominent member of his high school football team.

A resident of Davenport, he played Freshman football with BD, Calvin, and the others, but then moved to Davenport tackle football for ’66–’68. He also played D’port basketball and was active in the political union.

His roommates were Robert J. Dull and Jeffery A. Rosen. He intended to go to law school after Yale, but instead of law school, he headed out to San Francisco and worked in a series of high-end restaurants in the city. Thereafter, he joined Bank of America’s growing computerized operations group. By his death in 1997, he was VP in charge of the computer operations division.

In the early ’70s he met and married Carol McBride, and they have 5 children: Molly, Liam, Clare, Nicole, and Andrew (who gave us most of this information). Tony maintained his athletic interest, really loving to play tennis and occasionally, golf.

In the mid-’90s, he was diagnosed with terminal stomach cancer and had his stomach removed. Miraculously, he went into full remission, but was disappointed when, 18 months later, his vision blurred and a brain tumor was revealed. Ever the fighter, Tony opted for chemotherapy and was able to “beat” the brain cancer—only to have leukemia apply the fatal stroke a year later.

Tony was predeceased by his father Andrew Yasinsac (1909–1990) and survived by his mother, Vecie Edrina Church Yasinsac (1920–2004), and his wife, Carole McBride.
