Yale was a highlight of my life, not least of all because I met my wife Pat during Coed Week in November 1968. The professors and courses were wonderful and provided excellent preparation for my life and career. Living across the hall from professors and being a college aide gave me close contact with the faculty and administration (e.g., the Duke and Duchess of Saybrook), which was enlightening and eye-opening. I was in a quad with Rick Arnold, Jerry Rosenbaum, and Eric Muirhead (unfortunately deceased) all three years in Saybrook. Three of us met our wives (Wheaton, Vassar, and Mt. Holyoke) senior year, demonstrating that the last year of single-sex colleges was highly productive.

In addition to the academics and friendships, Yale was simply fun. Road trips, mixers, secret societies, cheering on BD and Cal (notwithstanding the TIE), protests, late-night pizzas, Prom, finding the latest Beatles album at the Co-op—these are great memories.
