Services were held today in Larson-Timko Funeral Home for Charles John Petre, 47, of Concord Drive, a financial consultant. Burial was in Bolivar.

Petre died Wednesday (March 30, 1994) at his home.

He was a 1969 graduate of Yale University and was a consultant and senior partner with the Anderson Capital Corp. He was a former senior vice president of First National Bank of Chicago and a former vice president in charge of investment banking at Citibank in New York City. In the latter position, he worked extensively in Taipai, Taiwan, and Manila in the Philippines.

In Fredonia, he was a literacy volunteer and a coach with the American Youth Soccer Association. He attended First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, the former Eileen Toner; three sons, Nathaniel James, Benjamin McVay and Luke William; a daughter, Martha Chipman Petre; and two sisters, Donna Hampton of Lakewood and Pamela Reis of Los Angeles.
