Wanted: The next Class of ‘69 YAA Delegate!

We have an opportunity that I’d like you to consider: Representing the Class to the Yale Alumni Association (YAA), and vice-versa, as our “Delegate” to the YAA.

Formerly known as the AYA, the YAA coordinates all reunions, Class activities, and alumni programs. I have found it to be efficient, well-organized, and thoroughly enjoyable. It provides a rich channel keeping us actively connected and informed.

The YAA Assembly, traditionally an on-campus, weekend event in November, explores a relevant theme presented by faculty and administration leaders. It is always informative, enlightening, educational, and fun.  (FAQs re: the Assembly and Delegate role)

This year’s YAA Assembly will be a virtual event scheduled for November 4-6, 2021.

We are entitled to two delegates.  As Class Secretary, I am one.  And I appoint the other one.

Ken Brown’s 3-year term as the appointed volunteer delegate recently expired.   We are looking for an interested Classmate to fill this role.  This is a unique opportunity to represent the Class, meet and work with other delegates, and participate in the leadership of the Class and Old Eli.  The job is not difficult and the time commitment is minimal.

If you are interested, please contact me by email.  I look forward to hearing from you. It’s a fun and fulfilling opportunity!

Art Segal,
Class Secretary
