Yale-Harvard Weekend Plans Announced

This year’s Yale-Harvard Game in Boston will be super-special.  The Reunion Committee has gone all-out to make it an event – a full weekend, actually – that you’ll definitely want to attend. Tickets go on a sale today!

The Game.  The Game itself is the 50th anniversary of the famous 29-29 tie and will be held in Fenway Park (because Harvard Stadium is undergoing repairs).

When tickets went on sale, our very own Lang Wheeler was first in line and collared a hundred (100) of the best seats available to Yale attendees!  (See this view from our seats and the Saturday events page for details.)

Brunch.  Prior to The Game, the Class and Lang have rented out The Hawthorne, an upscale restaurant just three blocks from Fenway, for a “private event” brunch.  The venue is beautiful as well as convenient. And the scrumptious buffet, an open bar and bottomless coffee/juice should start the day off well.

See the Saturday events page for details.  Tickets are now on sale for The Game and/or the brunch.

Friday (November 16th)

Glee Club Concert.  When The Game is in Boston, both Glee Clubs put on a spectacular, joint concert at 8:00 pm in a lovely, large auditorium near Harvard Yard.  If you were a glee clubber, you won’t want to miss the chance to sing with them.  And if you weren’t, you’ll still enjoy the old favorites … along with some new material, too.  See the Friday details page for more information and tickets.

Informal Dinner Before Concert.  We are arranging a dinner beforehand (about 6:00 pm as currently planned) at one of the many fine restaurants in Harvard Square.  Based on headcount and which restaurant we finally select, we’ll either eat at a large table in the main dining room or in a reserved room.  Either way, we’ll have great food, some good wine and a convivial start to the evening.  See the Friday details page for more information.  Tickets are on sale now for the concert and the dinner beforehand.
